773 million consumers. 46% growth from 2024.

By 2030, India is projected to become the world's second-largest consumer market, trailing only China. This trajectory signals not just an economic milestone, but a fundamental shift in global market dynamics.

According to recent projections from World Data Lab (as visualized by Visual Capitalist), India's consumer landscape is undergoing a dramatic transformation:

➡️ Today: 529 million consumers
⬆️ 2030 Projection: 773 million consumers
🟰 Growth Rate: An impressive 46% increase

What makes this particularly noteworthy is the contrast with established European markets. While India surges forward, Germany's consumer market is expected to stagnate (0% growth), and Italy's market is actually projected to contract (-1%).

This growth isn't happening in isolation. In yesterday's edition of India Rising, we explored the opportunities for French businesses in India, highlighting significant movements from industry leaders like Airbus and Dassault Aviation.

The momentum is building across multiple fronts, with both the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) and Indo-German Chamber of Commerce reporting increasing bilateral exchange.

These partnerships reflect a growing recognition of India and its future role.
